1870 Antique Book Cover

I can’t remember where I found this very old book. Being so frugal, I’m sure I didn’t pay more than $10 for it. It’s The Poetical Works of Sir Walter Scott, Bart., (1869.) The distressed leather binding and marbled cover & page edges are so incredibly beautiful. There’s a handwritten inscription inside dated 1872. So I’m referring to it simply as the 1870 book. I scanned and prepped the images for your crafty projects, paper or digital. I thought it would be perfect for a Father’s Day project. Click on the images below for full size files.I grabbed a vintage label from a past download, modified the colors and included it as well. Let me know if you make something with the cover images, I would love to see it.
