Evening Workshop: Thursday, August 3, 2017 – 5:00pm – 8:30pm
Just back from teaching this fun workshop at Mary Engelbreit’s incredible studio in St. Louis, Missouri, I’m excited to bring it back to Inspired Barn. Create this little paper house complete with chimney and collage with vintage ephemera-inspired papers, and embellish with optional items such as velvet millinery flowers, soft woodland moss, hemp-twine bird’s nest, adorable little faux vintage pom or chenille trees, and an American flag. Your completed, elevated and enclosed paper house is easy to access for turning the flickering LED tea light on and off as a decorative luminary. The finished piece makes a wonderful host or new home gift. Once you learn the techniques to create one you’ll be on you way to crafting many more to use again in jars, strung from Christmas lights, as treat & favor boxes, and suspended as mobile pendants.
This is an INTERMEDIATE SKILL LEVEL paper-crafting project.
Class time is 3-3.5 hours long.
All materials, supplies and tools will be provided for this workshop. However, as always, feel free to bring any of your own bits, bobbles, papers, or tools. (Space is limited for carry-ins to what can fit under your chair.)
You are welcome to bring your own snacks and drinks if desired.
